Re/TOTE is my post retirement career, a place to express my creativity and love for up-cycling and handbags.

While vacationing in the UK, I saw a woman wearing a great tote bag. It was made of a traditional fabric but in a stylish modern shape. I could not stop thinking about that bag.

So by the time I got home I knew I'd make one, but, with my own design twist, using repurposed materials, all sourced locally. I spent about a year testing designs and patterns on friends and family and learning to sew with leather.

Inspired by London, made in Lantzville.  Now Re/TOTE bags are worn in many countries around the world. 

Taking on the second-act has been invigorating and dare I say re-purposeful.  OK a little pun here, but for me there is a great deal of fulfillment in taking what was old and making it new again.
